AIC’s Division of Occupational Therapy has partnered with United Cerebral Palsy of Western Massachusetts (UCP) to make assistive technology (AT) more accessible for those with disabilities. A new UCP satellite location at AIC provides local residents with access to devices that support their daily living. This partnership gives AIC’s OT students hands-on experience while making AT more accessible to the community.

American International College (AIC) has established the GROW-You Scholarship Program to support Springfield residents pursuing careers in educational studies and drug addiction counseling. The GROW-You program offers up to $6,500 annually for students enrolled in AIC’s online, accelerated Educational Studies Degree Completion Program and Drug Addiction Counseling Program. The one-year Drug Addiction Counseling Program prepares graduates for the Massachusetts Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) licensing exam.

Springfield's free tree planting program - Greening the Gateway Cities. Through a state grant from MA DCR, we are able to plant trees all across Springfield at no cost to the home or business owner; the only requirement is a two year watering agreement which says you will water the trees weekly (April-November) for two years after planting.

Western New England University (WNE) is the recipient of a $500,000 grant to establish an interdisciplinary Master’s in Pharmaceutical Engineering degree program.
