Nearly $400,000 invested in local nonprofits SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts, July 16 — Berkshire Bank Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Berkshire Bank, invested nearly $400,000 in communities through grants and other giving in the second quarter of the year. Several Pioneer Valley organizations were among the 100 nonprofit organizations in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Vermont that the foundation invested in from April to June.
