We had the great honor of surprising Kali Green, of Springfield Cultural Partnership as the 2025 Social Justice Award recipient for her innovation in Arts & Cultural Advocacy.

“Congratulations Kali!
Each year, we honor individuals whose lives and work boldly carry forward the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.—and this year’s theme is inspired by his prophetic words: “We are determined to work and fight until justice runs down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream.”

Kali, your life and work beautifully embody this call to action. As an artist, curator, advocate, and connector, you use your creative talents to uplift others, celebrate cultural identity, and inspire collective empowerment. Through your role as Arts & Cultural Coordinator with the Springfield Cultural Partnership, your voice has become a trusted and remarkable presence—whether through your behind-the-scenes support of programming or the ways in which you build bridges to intentionally engage members of our vibrant community —you lead with authenticity and heart. You exemplify social justice not only in what you exquisitely create—your impact reaches far beyond any single event or initiative—it lives in the lives you touched, the spaces you transformed, and the conversations you sparked. Thank you, Kali, for showing us what it means to lead with purpose, to create with intention, and to believe in the power of art as a catalyst for change. Your journey continues to light the way forward for so many, and we are all better for you sharing your gifts!

We look forward to celebrating you as a Champion of Social Justice, at the:
