A Leadership Transition at Make-It Springfield

A Leadership Transition at Make-It Springfield
Springfield, MA — After five years of service, Roberta Wilmore has resigned from her role as Executive Director of Make-It Springfield. The Board of Directors wishes to honor and recognize Roberta’s leadership and contributions during her time with the organization.
Roberta joined Make-It as its first Executive Director in the spring of 2020, at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. She led the organization through an uncertain and challenging time and played a key role in overseeing our expansion to our new home on Bridge Street. We are deeply grateful for her service and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
To support the organization during this period of transition, the Board has engaged Julie S. Abramson, an experienced organizational consultant. Julie will provide interim support and assist Make-It in preparing for its next phase of leadership.
The Board and our dedicated staff remain committed to keeping Make-It Springfield moving forward. We thank our community for its continued belief in and support of our mission.
Make-It Springfield will continue to be a space where all are welcome to freely explore, create, and connect. Please direct any questions or concerns about or during this transition to Board Chair and President, Gillian Hinkson, boardchair@makeitspringfield.org.
