YWCA Receives $10,000 From Liberty Bank

Springfield, MA—The YWCA of Western Massachusetts is pleased to announce that it recently has received $10,000 from Liberty Bank to support the YWCA’s mission.

This generous donation will be used to help fund the YWCA’s “Girl’s Count” financial empowerment program.

This grant will help girls and young adults learn to budget their money and create conditions of success for a more financially secure future.

Elizabeth Dineen, the CEO of the YWCA of Western MA, stated: "By empowering women and girls, we empower future generations." The YWCA is appreciative of Liberty Bank’s commitment to helping us build a bright financial future for the girls, teens and women we serve.

The YWCA of Western Massachusetts was founded in 1868. The YWCA has served our region for more than 157 years, guided by its founding principle to provide shelter, support services, and tools for self-sufficiency for women and girls in our community.
