AIC Introduces Bachelor of Science in Health Systems Administration - New HSA Program will Meet a Rising Demand for Skilled Healthcare Leaders
Springfield, MA — American International College (AIC) is launching a new Bachelor of Science in Health Systems Administration (HSA), developed to prepare students for careers in healthcare management. Offered through the School of Health Sciences, the program responds to a growing need for professionals equipped to manage healthcare organizations and improve health outcomes. Enrollment for the program is now open for Fall 2025.
“As healthcare systems become more complex and the focus on health equity and outcomes intensifies, there is an urgent need for leaders who understand both operational management and public health,” said Associate Professor Frederick Hooven, director of the College’s Public Health Program. “Our Health Systems Administration program prepares students to meet that need.”
Graduates of the HSA program will be prepared for entry-level leadership positions in hospitals, integrated health systems, nonprofit health organizations, insurance companies, long-term care facilities, and local and state public health agencies. The program offers a unique blend of coursework in healthcare administration and public health, equipping students with the knowledge to address disparities, lead quality improvement efforts, and support public health initiatives within diverse healthcare environments.
The addition of the Health Systems Administration program strengthens AIC’s role as a regional leader in health sciences education and reflects the college’s focus on preparing students for today’s workforce.
