President's Message - August 2024
I hope you are enjoying the warm weather this summer and have had a chance to relax amongst the company of family and friends. Thank you to everyone who joined us for Chamber Night at the Hartford Yard Goats game! We had an absolute blast enjoying baseball, fireworks, luxury seating, and an all-you-can-eat buffet.
We have been busy these past few months working on some exciting new initiatives for our members and the community.
I hope you've had the chance to navigate our new website and member portal, which are key components of our transition to the GrowthZone platform. This transformation aims to make your interaction with the Chamber smoother and more enriching. Our fresh, rebranded identity brings a new look and energy to our organization.
On our new website, you'll find it easier than ever to navigate events, explore membership benefits, and stay updated with member news. The revamped member portal is designed to provide you with exclusive access to job postings, connections with fellow members, and essential resources. It's a space where you can share your news and events, tailored to support your business and community engagement.
Looking ahead, I can’t wait to celebrate with everyone on November 8th at the MassMutual Center for our Super 60 luncheon, where we will acknowledge impactful businesses and non-profits. We're excited to honor emerging and established companies, as well as non-profit organizations that have made significant contributions to our community. This year, we are proud to feature Tania Barber, CEO of Caring Health Center, as our keynote speaker. Tania, who was honored as the 2023 Richard J. Moriarty Citizen of the Year at last year's annual meeting, has been a tireless advocate for eliminating health disparities and achieving health equity for the diverse, multi-ethnic communities in Western Massachusetts.
As we prepare for this special event, I’m pleased to announce that nominations for Super 60 are now open! We'd love to hear about businesses and nonprofits—new, established, for-profit, or nonprofit—that have made a real difference in our community. If you know someone who deserves recognition for their hard work and impact, please take a moment to submit a nomination by September 13th.
We’re excited about these new developments and look forward to celebrating the exceptional achievements within our community at the Super 60 luncheon. Here’s to a wonderful rest of the summer and to the many opportunities ahead!
