Everyone has mental health! When a child identifies one trusted adult and a connection with their school the risk of serious mental health challenge

My name is Karen Carreira and together with Western New England University (WNE) I present a Cost-Free professional development opportunity for your school to “Be the Difference” by enhancing mental health literacy within the Springfield area through training in Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aid.

WNE was fortunate to secure American Rescue Plan Act funds and aims to deliver this training through the end of 2026. We would love an opportunity to discuss options to support your group to decrease fear and stigma and increase confidence and understanding of mental health and wellness engagement.

About the program:

Youth Mental Health First Aid is an evidence based and internationally recognized prevention program from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. It teaches individuals how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents and adults. Adult MHFA Flier Youth MHFA Flier
