Our Help the Community page is a space where members can highlight opportunities to give back, get involved, and make a difference. It’s also designed for businesses that want to connect with local organizations and see where support is most needed. 

Whether you're looking for volunteers, hosting a community event, or collecting items for a local drive, this page is designed to help you share ways others can lend a hand and to help members discover meaningful opportunities to contribute.

What You Can Share:

• Volunteer opportunities (event staffing, board service, mentoring, etc.)
• Community events open to the public
• Item drives (e.g., school supplies, winter clothing, food pantry donations)
• Donated goods or services (e.g., equipment, space, gently used goods)
• General awareness campaigns to support community causes

What’s Not Allowed:

• Financial solicitations or donation requests
• Sponsorship or fundraising appeals
• Political/religious endorsements or campaign-related messaging
• Promotion of for-profit events without a community impact component

This page is especially valuable for our nonprofit members, but open to all SRC members who contribute to the community. We’re proud to spotlight the good work being done in our region and connect businesses with opportunities to step in and help.
