President's Message - March 2025

President's Message - March 2025
As we welcome the arrival of March, I just want to take a moment to share my heartfelt appreciation for everyone who joined us for OUTLOOK 2025. Our keynote speaker, Rick Klein, captivated us with his insightful breakdown of the national and global political landscape, helping us better understand the trends shaping our economy. We were honored to have Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll with us, setting a powerful tone for the day with her welcome remarks. Springfield Mayor Domenic J. Sarno also helped kick things off with opening remarks, and of course, Todd Angilly’s moving National Anthem performance gave us all a moment of pride and unity. OUTLOOK isn’t just another event—it’s a pivotal part of what we do, bringing together business leaders and policymakers to exchange ideas, build connections, and prepare for the future. It set the stage for all the work we have ahead, and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s to come.
Looking ahead, we have a busy and exciting spring filled with opportunities to make a difference, celebrate, and connect. First up is Fill the Food Bank on April 1. Fill the Food Bank is an incredibly important event for our community because it directly supports families in need. We’re teaming up with several regional chambers to help the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, and your $25 ticket—and donation of peanut butter, jelly, or funds—will make a real impact. I hope you’ll join us in this effort to fight food insecurity together.
Then, on April 10, we’ll come together at MGM-Springfield for our Rise & Shine Breakfast: Celebrating Immigrant Success Stories. I’m so looking forward to this event—we will hear the incredible stories of resilience and success from immigrant entrepreneurs in our region. It’s a chance to learn, connect, and celebrate the rich diversity that makes our business community so vibrant.
At the end of the month, we’re heading to Boston for the Beacon Hill Summit on April 30. If you’ve ever wanted a front-row seat to state government, this is it! Hosted by Senator Adam Gomez and Representative Carlos Gonzalez, this is a day full of meaningful conversations with policymakers, where we can speak up on the issues that matter most to our businesses. Seats are limited, so be sure to register early to secure your spot. It’s one of the best ways to make your voice heard, and I hope you’ll come along for the experience.
May is just as exciting, starting with our Mayor’s Forum on May 9 at The Log Cabin. This isn’t your typical panel discussion—it’s an up-close-and-personal look at the lives of our local mayors, their priorities, and even some candid moments beyond the headlines. It’s always an engaging, eye-opening event, and I can’t wait for the conversations that unfold.
Spring heats up at our Fire & Ice Reception on May 22 at the Marriott Springfield Downtown. Join us for a stunning rooftop view, expertly crafted cocktails (including zero-proof options!), delicious bites, and plenty of great company. It’s the perfect way to connect with fellow business leaders, unwind, and celebrate the season.
There’s so much to look forward to, and I truly hope you’ll be part of these special moments with us. Our Chamber is built on the strength of our community, and I’m grateful for all of you who continue to show up, support each other, and make a difference.
