President's Message - November 2025

President's Message - November 2025

November is a time for gathering — around the table with family, around the fire with friends, and here at the Chamber, around a shared mission that unites our business community. As I look toward Thanksgiving, I’m reminded of how fortunate I am to be part of not one, but two families: the one at home that fills my heart, and the one here at the Springfield Regional Chamber that fills me with pride and purpose. It’s a gift to work alongside people who care so deeply about our region and each other, and I’m thankful every day for the community we’ve built together.

The spirit of connection and gratitude overflowed at our Super 60 Awards earlier this month. I left that day feeling deeply moved by the people and stories that make our business community so extraordinary. To everyone who joined us at the MassMutual Center—thank you. Your presence helped us honor the incredible businesses and nonprofits that lift our region, create opportunity, and make Western Massachusetts a place we’re all proud to call home. From our inspiring 2025 winners to the debut of our Legacy Award honoring Balise Motor Sales Co., every moment reminded me of the power of hard work, innovation, and heart. Listening to Jessika Rozki of Rozki Rides share her story reminded us all of the courage and determination that drive true leadership. And thanks to the WWLP Morning Team, Kaelee Collins and Julia O’Keefe, the room was filled with laughter, light, and genuine joy. It was one of those days that leaves you smiling long after it’s over, grateful for the people who make this community what it is.

Before the year wraps up, we’ll have one more chance to come together at our December 3 Rise & Shine Breakfast at the Marriott Springfield Downtown. Build Your Bench – Attraction, Retention, and Succession Strategies will bring together a fantastic panel of local leaders, including Emily Leonczyk from The Markens Group, Gina Koss from Sunshine Village, and John Maybury from Maybury Material Handling, with Allison Ebner from EANE serving as our emcee. I know it’s going to be one of those mornings filled with great ideas, thoughtful discussion, and plenty of “aha” moments we can all take back to our own workplaces.

Applications are now open for our 2026 Leadership Institute, and I couldn’t be happier to welcome a new class into one of my favorite Chamber programs. In partnership with Western New England University, this course enables local professionals to strengthen their leadership skills while forming meaningful connections that often last well beyond the program itself. It’s an incredible opportunity for participants to step outside their daily routines and focus on growth by learning new ways to think strategically, communicate effectively, and lead authentically.

If this season has taught me anything, it’s that the best things in life aren’t found on a to-do list; they’re found around a table, in good company, with plenty of reasons to be thankful. I’m grateful for this Chamber family and for every one of you who make it so special. Wishing you a joyful Thanksgiving and a meal worth loosening your waistband for.
