Happy New Year! As we step into 2025, I’m filled with enthusiasm and optimism for all the opportunities ahead. This year promises to be one of growth, collaboration, and innovation for the chamber and our members. From robust programming to new initiatives, we’re committed to making 2025 a year to remember.

Our Rise & Shine Breakfast honoring non-profits was an inspiring start to the year, highlighting the incredible work these organizations do to strengthen and uplift our region. Thank you to everyone who attended and joined us in celebrating their work. I’d also like to take a moment to recognize our Government Reception, taking place on January 23 at Storrowton Tavern. The connections we make and the conversations we share during this annual gathering will be invaluable as we continue to build bridges between business and government.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to announce our next Rise & Shine Breakfast, Ready for What’s Next: Navigating Major Incidents in an Uncertain World, happening on February 13, at the Marriott Springfield Downtown. Over the past year, we've witnessed major incidents that have disrupted industries from banking to healthcare, including impacts on airlines and 911 services. Join us as we hear from members who are directly involved in the prevention and response to these significant events. Then in March, we will host OUTLOOK, our premier legislative and economic forecasting event, where you’ll gain critical perspectives on the trends and policies shaping the future. Stay tuned for an exciting lineup of speakers and more details coming soon.

We’re also thrilled to announce the launch of our 2025-2026 Legislative Survey. This survey is your chance to share your insights about the current business climate, challenges, and opportunities in Massachusetts, particularly in Western Massachusetts. Your voice matters, and your responses will help us advocate for policies and initiatives that directly address the needs of our local business community. The survey is open to all members and their employees, and no email is required to participate. However, if you choose to include your email, you’ll be entered into a giveaway to win one of five tickets to an upcoming Rise & Shine breakfast or the Mayors Forum. The survey closes on January 28, so don’t wait—members should check their emails and member portal for access to the survey.

The Springfield Leadership Institute is back for 2025, offering a premier leadership development experience starting February 20. This exclusive 12-week program, hosted in partnership with Western New England University, features an advanced curriculum exploring topics like AI, digital media, and business analytics, alongside essential leadership skills in strategic thinking and team building. Applications are due February 6, so don’t miss your chance to join this transformative program.
