Entertainment Venues
Hope for Youth and Families provides free programs in literacy, assistance and guidance through the college process, and arts programs for Springfield city youth. All are free to city youth.
The Adolescent Literacy program works with youth who are multiple years behind in reading skills, using research-based methods, to bring them up to grade level.
The College Bound program assists youth from 9th grade thru their post-secondary year in college.
The Arts program, housed at HOPE Center for the Arts, offers free daily programming in both performing, visual arts and technical arts. These include dance, theater, music, photography, videography, Beats, creative writing, media arts, visual arts, ballet, strings and wind instruments, and more.
HOPE Center for the Arts in downtown Springfield also offers professional performances by national and international artists throughout the year. Tickets are free for city students.
